My First Apprenticeship

H

Harry

I'm new here!
Hello

I am 17 and started my apprenticeship back in October after not getting on well at college on my IT course. Whilst I did like learning about computing and the like, it became a little boring and I realised I am not much of a classroom person and I prefer to actually be doing the job.

6 months in to my 9 month apprenticeship and I am due to be signed off next week when my training provider comes in. I did a level 2 customer service apprenticeship for a IT company, who give companies support, sell hardware and provide other IT related stuff. At the moment they have a good 25-30 completely office based staff.

During my apprenticeship I provided support for customers and handled most admin related things.

They have offered me a job starting from Monday 29th after my apprenticeship is complete and I will move on to full time wage and will be going on various courses to boost my knowledge and experience. I will be focusing more on the graphic design side of the company along with 4 others.

So it is really exciting. Can not wait to share more with you when I am in to my new role.

This is a great read, Harry! I'm going to post it to our Twitter account now as it's an excellent example of the benefits of apprenticeships :)
