Abbey Business Centres secures an additional 17,000 sq ft of space at the Iconic 30 St Mary Axe.
Scottish based national serviced office provider Abbey Business Centres (Serviced office space, virtual office and meeting room hire from Abbey Business Centres) has secured an extra 17,000 sq ft of space, in addition to its 28,000 sq ft of serviced office facilities across levels 28 and 29, taking its total space at "The Gherkin" to 45,000 sq ft.
Launched in 2006, the business centre is currently over 90% occupied; demonstrating how businesses are increasingly seeking to mitigate risk by adding flexible office space into their property portfolios.
Julie Calder, Abbey's Managing Director, commented: "The number of enquiries is up on last year and established clients are staying longer because they are happy where they are and the all-in charging structure of serviced offices helps them budget, which is a comfort in these difficult times".
Ms Calder added: "I am delighted that our existing floors enjoy very high occupancy levels and the addition of the 15th floor opens up more opportunities for businesses to take flexible office space in what is arguably the City's most prestigious building".
