Hi everyone,
As there are so many web designers and SEO tekkies on this forum, I am looking for some constructive feed-back on my web-site,please!:)
I created it myself a few weeks ago, using one of those off-the shelf templates.(It is a WYSIWYG type , not HTML)

I want to know if it appealing enough, individual page content is rich enough to attract and retain interest, navigation and flow is easy to use.

I also have done some basic reading on SEO, and have attempted to set-up meta-tags, keywords, h1 headers, etc for each page. Please advise if I have done this correctly !

I have reached the page limit (10 pages) with the package I have , so am planning to add more pdf's about work I have done, case studies, "how to do" Tutorials, etc. I also plan to add more "calls for action", possibly even a newsletter.Does any of this stuff appeal from other peoples experience ?

I am keen to learn as much as I can !

Thanks in advance,Rehela

I'll write you privately a little later today or this weekend - I am up to my eyeballs in web work today but I do have some advice to give you.

Cheers,

Hi Rehela,

I think you've done very well seeing as you did it yourself. The services you offer seem very technical so i'm assuming the site is more of a brochure site about the business. I'm thinking it might be difficult to communicate the services you offer in web speak that people will type into search engines etc.

The navigation is very consistent so I dont have any issues with that at all. I would get someone to have a look at the coding and maybe some of the people on here can have a look. If you look at any page using the View Source option the code looks very strange. I'm by no means an expert so maybe some of the others can have a look.

Hopefully some others will also contribute :)

In my opinion your current web content needs to be doubled on the home page in order to incorporate keyword and key phrase rich content.

On a web site appearance note I like the top image bar but question the relevance of the logo and white bar at the top, it seems unnecessary detracting from the rest of the page.. Just a suggestion but maybe you not add the FQA logo into the image bar.

Thanks Kasumi for the advice !:)
You are right , I will be adding some more text to all the pages.
I tried correcting the logo as it was looking "stretched" but to no avail !
I had added the logo, since it appears on my business cards and letter heads, etc.
I think I will remove the logo, as I have had a few negative comments about it.
Thanks again,Rehela

Hi Rehela,

I think you should have your logo on your website to help create a consistent brand to your business. Your logo should be everywhere.

I could help you get it setup properly if you like just drop me a pm and i'll see what i can do for you.
