I am working on an outdoor lighting project (Porch Light) and considering 12v to avoid all the regulations with 240v.
Any advice on why this is not a good idea!!

I'm working on a project with a designer right now, and I think you should talk to a professional.

Twenty years ago, the organization of lighting of streets, parks, roads and other open objects was quite a complex and expensive event. But with the advent of ultra-bright LEDs, which have a high light output and an exceptionally long service life, the situation has changed dramatically. Today, LED street lamps using the latest technologies are successfully replacing the classic ones – incandescent and arc, providing objects with high-quality, inexpensive and reliable lighting. For our home, we chose a lamp from Amazon and they fit us very well.
