EAST LOTHIAN FIRM LEADS THE WAY OUT OF THE RECESSION

b:spoke joinery and manufacturing specialists – who moved their creative company to larger premises on EskMills Business Park in Musselburgh in early 2009 – have taken an innovative step in the current recession and come up with an ingenious space management plan to generate economic growth and expansion potential for local existing businesses or new 2010 start ups, particularly from the SME sector.

The company has developed unique/cost effective office space and in an industry first - have elected to give it away for FREE. This direct collaborative approach has been decided upon in order to generate unprecedented business opportunity through the concept of a ‘hub’ where all partners/stakeholders will be able to network, share business practice and expand their client base.

Phil Green - Managing Director of 2 successful companies and resident in Musselburgh, stated simply

I want to give small businesses the opportunity to grow, I know from experience how expensive it can be starting out and if I can help some people along the way then - all the better. I am looking forward to the EH21 Creative Hub becoming a synergistic resource centre for entrepreneurs which, will in turn offer a significant contribution to the local economy”

WANTED … creative sector entrepreneurs, from the following categories to make use of our office space for free: 3D Designers, Architects, Media Consultants, Graphic Designers and Event Production Specialists.

Simply Call 0131 665 4508/07920 041 981 or email [email protected] for a chat, mention the EH21 Creative Hub and arrange a visit!

I can say that our Translate Scotland PR & Marketing company and another colleague from Mirror Marketing have already expressed an interest in becoming part of Phil's 'band of merry men/women'

Hi John,

I think this is great news for East Lothian and should act as a catalyst for other parts of Scotland. I know for one that although i'm not in a position to expand my business just yet, it must be great news for any start up businesses and businesses looking to grow during 2010.

Hopefully 2010 will continue to develop into a better year than last.

Kind Regards

Neil
