Hi everyone — I’m Richard, 28 and I’ve recently launched my own free lance / consultancy offering Quantity Surveying and Project Management services under Grant Projects Limited.
With a BSc in Quantity Surveying and 7 years’ experience in construction, I started out straight from school working on client-side residential and commercial projects, building a solid foundation in cost management and delivery oversight.
After that, I took a slightly different path into something closer to my roots of agriculture — Head of Commercial role for a family farming business, with nationwide fresh produce supply, managing budgets, negotiating supplier contracts, and overseeing Site operations. This gave me a broader commercial perspective and sharpened my skills in operational efficiency and strategic planning.
Now, I’m bringing all of that together — blending practical construction experience with commercial strategy to offer a tailored QS and PM service to clients who want someone who truly understands the full picture.
Currently employed full-time, I’m building GPL on the side with a view to growing it into a full-time offering once the client base expands. I’m particularly passionate about supporting self-builders, agricultural estates, and private residential projects, but open to conversations with anyone who needs straight-talking, dependable support on their project.
