From 1 february 2009, the Employment Rights (Increase of Limits) Order 2008 (SI 2008/3055) brings in new compensation limits for tribunal claims. The main changes are:

  • A week's pay will increase to £350.
  • A maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissals will increase to £66,200.

The new limits apply where the 'appropriate date' falls on or after 1 February 2009.
