For business owners who rent commercial premises, how do you currently keep track of dates such as lease expiry, break options, rent reviews, notice periods and insurance obligations?
Do you rely on a spreadsheet, calendar reminders, your solicitor or agent, specialist software, or simply refer back to the lease when necessary?
I’m interested in the practical side: what works well, what becomes difficult as the business grows or takes on more premises, and whether anyone has ever discovered an important date later than they would have liked.
I’m researching this area while developing a UK lease-information tool, so I’m particularly interested in honest experiences rather than legal advice or a sales discussion.
