There are many ways to find your great mobile app development partner. Here is what I can think of just right now LOL:
- Reference: ask your friends who used to build a mobile app for true reviews and experience in finding a partner. Of course, they are reliable rather than any other suggestion.
- Research: In case you are the first one to build a mobile app among your acquaintances, do a careful research based on facets: location, reviews, cost, ability & experience, technologies, etc. Have the shortlists and do not hesitate to contact them for the best choice.
- Available list reviews by experts: Currently there are some websites reviewing about this, of course some of them must pay to appear on the pages; however, not at all, you can check all criteria to find suitable one ‘cause given information is reliable.

Depends what you are looking to have developed. Are you looking to have a game or a business app developed. I live in Dundee. I would ask any of the gaming companies here to make a business app. There are however a shed load of companies here who make businesses apps (including me) who are more than capable of handling any size and type of business app.

I would give you two pieces of advice, don't go for the cheapest option and buy on reputation.
If you're trying to cut corners at the very start of your project that does not bode well for the long term. The world of mobile phone apps is no different to any other business, you get what you pay for.
