I think it's maybe a bit rich for any bank to come out just now and say they've won an award. Although to be fair to Lloyds from what I understand they were railroaded into the HBOS deal and that's really been at the centre of their issues.

It's common knowledge that banks are repricing wherever they can and that's not a good thing for small businesses but it's happening across the board and it's not specific to Lloyds.

For me banks need to be split so that their consumer and business facing aspects are split from the riskier investment type operations. Banks fundamentally wont support what they deem to be riskier businesses and they can be guilty sometimes of onl seeing what they want to see. I think distrust for banks will probably last my generation now given what's happened, a necessary evil for a small business.
