Has the terrible weather over the last few days impacted your business?

I can do a lot of my work online from home but it has stopped me getting into the office until today.

If anything I think the bad weather will increase online sales?

I was hoping to start scarifying this month, but its not looking likely with this awful weather. its like one step forward and two back :( I lost a months money last year because of rain across the summer, and now the weather is impacting starting this season :rolleyes:

It might seem like a strange question but is there no type of insurance you can take out for a seasonal business? I once looked at illness cover for myself but it was going to cost a few hundred pounds a month and wasn’t worth it.

I don't think there is. I have Liability Insurance cover plus good cover for myself should I be injured etc, all Winter I have been doing handyman work for one of my customers that I do outside grounds maintenance for. They insisted on having the Liability Insurance for working on site. So I negotiated the cost for the insurance from them. its a Win-Win. I made some extra money over the winter when I normally would not have, and they got me scoring off all the odd jobs they needed done from the To-Do-List.

Yes the weather has a big impact on a lot of my outdoor work, we have a new hotel to photograph for a client they need good weather shots but have a pressing deadline, will it be the typical Scottish grey day, blowing a gale or a white out we have no idea but we need to deliver and that's going to be difficult unless we are blessed with the weather or client wants.

We have had a couple of pretty good days this week, blue skies, I hope you get the chance to get your photos. it is sickening when you have to depend on the weather, I lost around a months money last year because of the rain across the summer months.

All is well
I`d rather say that global news and politics influence my business more. Nowadays everything depends on oil, crypto and politics
