Thanks for the post Kevin. I have to take my hat off to Google for putting their name to such a great little guide. There's a lot of stuff about this subject online that's a lot of crap so this hopefully gets many people off on the right foot.

It is basic but probably enough for most people and I think going any further really most people need the help of an expert anyway

I totally agree the guide is a positive step in helping people to understand the concept behind search engine optimisation (and that has to be a good thing - surely!)
I have already passed this on to some of my clients who show an active interest in their SEO and online marketing campaigns
