Over the last few months we have been putting a number of free back care guides for employers together. These guides are extracts from a book I wrote a few years ago which is now out of print but still very relevant today.

With employers losing money because of staff absenteeism due to back pain I hope these guides go some way towards helping your staff understand how they can help themselves.

If your business is based around Edinburgh and you would like us to come in and talk to your staff about how to manage back pain or look after their back so they avoid back pain call me on 0131 221 1415.

Enjoy these free guides and also take a look at our page that includes back care exercises

Now there's a good idea.... :)

I've been talking about this long before The Apprentice but definitely welcomed the extra activity it has created.

Gavin,

This doesn't directly address the subject of your post. But I picked up you point about the book you wrote being out of print.

Have you considered re-issuing the book as an ebook? I don't mean a PDF for free download, but as a genuine ebook for the Kindle or other e-readers, that you could sell.

Given that you have already done all the research and writing, and you presumably have the text in electronic form, it would be relatively easy to convert it to, say, Kindle format. You could then use the Amazon ebook platform to market it. You won't make a fortune from it (especially after Amazon have taken their share),but it might bring in some income that you wouldn't have got otherwise.

It's just a thought. (And I'm assuming that you own the rights to the book yourself.)

Hello Mike
There are a couple of copies of it on Amazon but it is no longer printed/actively sold. I have included the most important points inside the ebooks I giveaway plus more up to date information/advice. The whole thing could be sold on Kindle because that seems to be a popular way to sell ebooks now. Definitely something to consider.
