Naturally many will be disappointed that Scotland failed to qualify for Euro 2012 and many employers may think this means they (employers) don't have to worry about the typical staff issues these big football competitions can often throw up.

However, the reality is that many people living and working in Scotland are not Scottish. Many come from the EU and others are simply football fans and so it's fair to say there is still likely to be a large number of interested football supporters based here in Scotland.

In our latest blog we cover four key areas to help ensure Employers avoid scoring a business own goal. The main things covered include:
  • Advance management of absenteeism
  • Annual leave arrangements
  • Workplace options
  • Potential legal issues
