Do you still use business cards?

Here's a question; do you still use business cards and hand them out to potentially interested parties? Or are they a thing of the past?

We are always printing business cards for a wide variety of industries. However, more and more businesses are becomming concious of the finish and style of the card so that it is memorable and worth holding onto and thus helping them stand out from the crowd.

Personally I still think there's a place for business cards in the modern era but as suggested above, they do need to stand out and be a little different. Let's be honest, how many of us in the past have received business cards and simply thrown them away when we get back to the office?

Yes, business cards can still be a great way to market your business.

if they are kept in a wallet or purse, or even distributed to friends as a referral, they are definitely worth their investment.

The question really is not whether to use them but what is your strategy? What will be printed on the cards, something that is compelling and different and stands out from the crowd.should you use them as a referral marketing tactic? In which case, should you have a commission structure for any referrals?

Business cards can be as simple or as technical as you’d like them to be, but they need to form the wider part of your business marketing strategy, rather than be a stand alone separate piece of branding.

I’ve waffled on a bit here, but I hope this helps. =D

I totally agree, business cards today need to be more informative as opposed to colourful flashy gimmicks which can cheapen your brand. Give people information, how to find you and you will have more chance of getting some business as opposed to just giving away reams and reams of business cards and getting nothing back.

Yes they are still great for handing out at networking events or when meeting clients for the first time.

I personally think there is still a time and day place to use business cards as opposed to keeping everything "electronic". However, with the coronavirus when will we next have networking meetings!

It's 2020, and virtually everything has gone digital. With that said, however, business cards are still just as important as ever before.

Yes. When designed appropriately and used properly, business cards can still be an effective tool to set you or your brand apart from others that refuse to use them.

Business cards still are a great way to remember your business from your clients.

Always make them in the best possible quality and with precise text.

I still use business cards to new customers. My new customers are usually referrals. I normally give out two so the customer can keep one and give the other to someone who is in need of an electrician. When I'm finishing a job I always say to the customer if they are pleased with the work and the price please refer me to your friends. That has been my sales pitch since I've been in business, 1982.

I was using paper business cards but I switched to a contactless business card. I save heaps of money with it as I don't need to buy new ones I just a tap it against a mobile phone and it brings up all my contact info, I also noticed their more likely to call and Its been really helpful for me it's honestly a gamechanger for me and I cannot stress it enough. I got mine at kamicards.co and if you want to network in person I seriously recommend

It is not a thing of the past.

It is still prevalent today. In reality, handing out business cards is still a highly effective marketing strategy.

Make sure it is filled with brief and accurate information about your company.
