Company software needed

New Member
Hi, I have been using spreadsheets that I made up myself (not to good on the computer!) However I am looking to expand my business and need things to be a bit more efficient and professional. What kind of prices would I be looking at to get company software made up? And can you guys recommend anyone to do it? Many thanks.
It is hard to give a specific price as it would depend what you wanted the system to do. It can range from a few hundred pounds to several thousands. I would suspect the software you would be looking for would not be too expensive.

We can provide bespoke software and would be happy to have a chat with you regarding your requirements and give you an idea of the costs that would be involved.

You can contact our Sales team on 01387 269 888.

Hey cleaningbiz,

First things first... why do you want to get your own custom software? What do you need it to do?

It might be that there's a cheaper solution already out there for your type of requirements, so let us know what you need and we can maybe help.

I'm afraid it's impossible for anyone to answer that question without knowing a lot more about what you need. The normal way of going about it would be to draw up a list of your requirements - in some detail - and then getting two or three competitive quotes.

But first, ask yourself if you really need to have the software "made up". Although custom software is less expensive than it once was, it's still a pricey business. For most day-to-day business needs, it's usually possible to use off-the-shelf programs, which are usually (but not always) cheaper.

Hope this helps.

If you're thinking small, then an off-the-shelve customer management package will have to do. You should be able to get decent free or not very expensive packages off the internet (afew hundred dollars). PC World etc.

Depending on the data on your spreadsheets, you may need a bespoke package, in which case you will hire a small firm to develop one. Think around a thousand or a few thousand dollars. You may be able to get a single developer to knock one up for you -depending on complexity. This would keep the price down. This is not as complex to do as appears to the layman.

Large firms will have a backend database (Microsoft SQL or Oracle) and a front end (.Net, ASP etc). This gets expensive as you need server hardware and a techie who knows his way around both programming languages (front end plus SQL).

Hope this helps.

CRM makes it easier to manage your business and customer relationships. It is a software that improves company operations and increases product sales. I use CRM from Firmao, it is really a very good and easy to use program.

There are so many companies you can find on google, but in my personal opinion and experience, you should have to take a look at Cubix. Their development is less of budget but the quality is always on high.

About Cubix
Cubix is a software and mobile app development company with a world-class team of talented data scientists, developers, designers, mathematicians, engineers, and creative artists. We are motivated to build elegant and functional digital products that solve complex problems.

Cubix started its journey in 2008 with a team of seven. Today, it has grown into a full-cycle, mobile-first software development company, with the highest team satisfaction in the industry, independent analyst recognition, and an ever-growing list of delighted clients who work with us again and again. We are proud to have worked with Estee Lauder, Clinique, Engro, Swatch Group, Politico, and OOMCO. We have helped dozens of startups with modern technologies.

Their Process:
At Cubix, we deliver successful products by doing three things: being accountable for our projects, making our methods transparent, and building strong relationships with our clients.

Ip protection

It’s our top priority. We start every project with an NDA, to make sure that your crucial information and Intellectual Property is always safe and secure.

Consultation & project discovery

Next, we’ll brainstorm your idea and inform you more about our methodology so we can see if we’re a good fit for your product development.

Rapid strategy workshop™

Then, we will identify the best way to cook your idea ready for development, review commercial & technical risk and create a level of efforts (LOE) document for you to review.

User interfaces & experiences

Then, our team of talented UI/UX engineers ensures that whenever we build a particular screen, an experience, the transition, icon or any other element, it always looks and feels like it came from Cubix.

Agile development

Our agile-based development runs in two-week sprints that result in a new, incremental build at the end of each fortnight, allowing you to regularly review and assess what we’re building.

Testing & incremental quality assurance

To avoid future challenges we make sure that you are building great software from the very start. Our Incremental testing and quality assurance approach ensure that there are no surprises at the end.

Support & maintenance

After we’ve gone live, we offer maintenance packages that cover everything from the occasional checkup all the way up to ongoing feature expansions and whole new versions.
