Hi Guys,

New to this forum and looking to start up my own cleaning company with a couple of my friends. Does anyone have any good advice or experience in the cleaning industry. This would help hugely thank you.

Not sure what advice you are looking for that is specific to the industry? In terms of the business itself, you need to get it insured and also think about the structure you would be operating under i.e. sole trader, partnership, LTD?

Hi

First research about the business, choose your target audience B2B, B2C , area all UK or specific cities. Create a website and show your services and then start promoting. If you want any help related you can ping me

Whatever you do, make sure you have a formal agreement in place between you and your friends. This will save you a lot of trouble down the line when the business takes off! Good luck

Thanks guys, I was thinking to have an agreement because friends aren't always as loyal as you think! We was thinking commercial things such as high level cleaning and deep cleaning. To get a feel of what we want to become, look at these guys - https://www.primefacilityservices.co.uk/. Anymore advice would be appreciated.

I am obsessed with cleaning and I always insist on the house being as clean as possible, even if I don't always have time to do everything on my own because of my job. In addition, my house is big and with many rooms. For this reason, many times I turn to this cleaning company endoftenancycleaningnearme.co.uk/areas/stoke-newington/ because I have used their services several times and each time I was satisfied to the maximum. I can highly recommend it to those who need such services and I am sure you will have superior results.

Get good processes in order for keeping records. Think about how you are going to get business. Will you need telesales people etc.

Hello!

Have you thought about how you are going to create legally binding documents? If you are going into business with friends, I would still recommend having a document that lays out the responsibility of each person and their stake in the company.

Plus, I think it would be a good idea to have agreements between yourself and your customers. Like a terms of business which sets out your responsibility to the customer, and their responsibility to you.

I can help you look into this! Drop me an email on hannah@docue.com and we can have a chat about how best to legally protect yourself.

Thanks!

Hannah

Although this is a simple enough business to set up, I recommend:

1. Put a formal agreement in place with your friends
2. Create a start-up budget (supplies, equipment etc)
3. Develop a strategy for breaking into the market
4. Get to work.
