Claiming back expenses

I’m just starting my business (sole trader) and one of the first things on my ever growing list is to buy a laptop solely for business use.

A couple of questions:
Can I claim anything back on the laptop cost, if so what?
If the answer to the first question is yes, how do I do that and what are the steps I need to take before purchasing the laptop?
