I have no sympathy for people who download porn at the best of time....apart from the virus you could attract to your PC.....

People who have been using File Swap websites to get porn movies are now being targted by the companies who normally charge for the ....and they are looking for £500 a to settle out of court.

BBC - Newsbeat - Technology - Cash demand over 'porn downloads'

It serves them right....and hopefully they have learnt their lesson with regards anything that it copyrighted.

But of course, there will be some who are innocent...but there is no smoke without fire.

I could imagine the husband having to explain to his wife....what they are paying £500 for....naughty.

Interesting post,
I think copyright laws are all about power and keeping power, there is no real fairness in the way the laws have been designed, its all about protecting power bases. If you look at the history of copyright and intellectual property you will learn that the USA used to be the biggest infringer of protected goods, a bit like China is now. But now that the laws are biased towards the US, all they do is moan that they are being ripped off and consumers are being screwed.

I'll tell you something else intereting.

On places like YouTube you can easily find piles of programmes from organisations like the BBC.....

No, do I need a licence to watch it, if it's on YouTube? Does even the BBC even know piles of their recent programmes are being shown on YT by people recording them on their computers and then loading them up?

The adult entertainment industry has always embraced innovation, and artificial intelligence (AI) is now revolutionizing the way adult content is created and consumed. AI-generated porn videos are gaining traction, offering hyper-realistic visuals, personalized experiences, and an entirely new dimension to adult entertainment. This technological shift raises questions about ethics, privacy, and the future of digital intimacy.
