Business Broadband (and Phone/Mobile)

Currently bottoming out some numbers for my business plan and wondered if anyone could recommend a supplier for broadband and phone.

Additional question is - Do I have to go for a business solution?

I know that the business solutions have better (in some cases) technical specs and might have more inclusive minutes for the phone during peak times but do I HAVE to go for one of them?

The area in question does have cable availability, should I look at that instead?

Cheers,

Dave

One thing to be aware of Dave, more specific to broadband than anything else is that you only tend to get a service level agreement with business products. If you are considering using voIP for example (or indeed for general internet use) you will want to make sure that you are getting the connection speeds that you are paying for.

BT for one only provide that kind of agreement of service availability for their business customers.

Hope this helps...

Thanks Gordon. I hadn't really considered voip properly yet, although the FSB voip offering did intrigue me - FSB VoIP

If I go that route then yeah having a proper SLA would be needed.

Different companies have different terms in relation to whether you can do corporate work on a private internet connection. I suggest you check that out with your local suppliers. If you can get away without a business connection I would as it can be considerably cheaper.
