Business account

Hello, due to the corono virus, my business which is a limited company is closed I have 2 members of staff and no takings to pay them applied to bank for the disruption loan but as l don't have a buisness account in place l didn't meet criteria to apply. The business is registered with companies House ive had an accountant from day 1 who files my accounts the staff are on the payroll l pay paye and staff get weekly payslips. Is there any help available for me to pay their wages and will l qualify for the 80% staff retention scheme without a business account ??

If you cant receive any funds because it is not a business account then that is disgraceful. However, I was just wondering how you have looked after cashflow in the past - can you not resurrect an old business account?

I would ask your accountant for guidance.

There will be any amount of banks who will open a business account for you. Dont make the same mistake as me - watch out for the hidden charges.
