Hi guys,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this so please move if nec - but as it's kind of a business tool I thought maybe best to post here.

Most of you probably know of this anyway but this comes in pretty handy when you need to do a quick translation or receive an email in a language you don't know.

Yahoo! Babel Fish - Text Translation and Web Page Translation

There are others around too - this is just the one I like.

Babel Fish is brilliant - it used to be owned by Altavista, and then Yahoo! bought it over.

However... I'm not entirely sure how accurate it is going the other way (i.e. English to French, English to Spanish). In fact, I'm sure it's not: I handed in a French essay in 2nd year when I was in High School, it failed les Miserables!

If you have an account with Google, you should check out their translator. You can also have it on you site so people can translate it to whatever they want.

Again, not an expert on the outcome (I can barely speak english at times) but I have heard from other people that it works well.

Goggle tool is Good however I was with a client from Poland and they said it wasn't that accurate.

That's an interesting point Stuart. I will definitely have a look at Google Translator too. I think Babelfish will probably let you get the gist of what's going on though.
