It's been speculated on for weeks but Apple have finally announced the launch of the second generation iPhone which will work on the 3g network.

I have not as yet been tempted to get one given the high price and restrictive choice of contract but I hear the new iPhone will have a far lower price point which is a big change for Apple.

Does anyone have an iPhone? Whats your experience been? Is this new phone really that big a step forward?

I have an iphone (hacked) that was brilliant until it broke. I think i can get it fixed though. The applications are really slick especially mail. Browsing the internet over wifi is great too and by using rss feeds helps reduce typing. I think the overall interface is great, great screen and its an ipod as well.
