Anyone deal with them?

We were asked to quote to supply some services thought we might have a chance as we are a small independent business with warehousing in Fife and most of our employees living in the Kingdom....but no they gave the (large national provider? - as there is no other washroom company in Fife) the opportunity to improve their offer and not even a call or email to us until after the docs were signed and sent.

I know it wasn't much on the grand scheme of things but in the current climate you would think that the Chamber of all people would try to work a deal with local businesses????

Typical! I would have thought the same, especially as from what I can tell most chambers are trying to attract new members and promote their services just now.

Lets just hope they find out they would have been better with you in the long run!

I joined the Chamber in East and Midlothian some time ago and I would agree that they should be promoting to and encouraging local companies - within their geographical region - to tender for small contracts.

However, that said, the whole exercise is pointless if they have a mandate to secure 3 quotes and express no real committment to change.
