Hi All

I have created a live Anti-Virus / Malware bootable CD built on linux which contains virus / malware scanners from Kaspersky, Avira, Bit Defender and F Secure.

This will let you scan systems independant of the OS

All SOFTWARE IS LEGAL AND FREELY AVAILABLE FROM THE ABOVE SECURITY SOFTWARE PROVIDER'S WEBSITES.

I have just combined them into a bootable .ISO image and then burn to CD and GO.

If you need this on bootable CD / USB then give me shout

So does this mean you pop this in your machine and it boots from this CD?

With anti-virus etc changing all the time wont this go out of date very quickly?

Yep burn to bootable CD using ImgBurn / Nero etc and boot from CD

There are live updaters on each program so you can update and scan with the latest definitions.

And you can stick this on a USB drive as well? That seems like a very useful wee set of programs. Are they pretty easy to use? I'm always scared of unticking and ticking things that I dont understand and never know whether it's actually good or bad. :p

i would ammend the post before someone gets into trouble for using such a disk in the wrong instance especially as this is a business forum.

yes most have free versions but you will have to remind people that 99.9% of these companies restrict the free versions only for personal usage and using any of these apps on any pc used for business purposes would be considered illegal under their terms of usage.

M8 the above DOES NOT refer to the "Free for home use" AV programs which are available for download from the above SP websites.

AV Rescue CD's and Linux rescue CD's are quite different from "Free for home use" AV software.
