I have delayed commenting on the Budget because I am so angry.
As usual, Labour`s front man, Comical Ali and his puppeteer, have insulted the intelligence of the nation with a further load of cr4p.
Why can they not be honest and come out with the fact that economic growth is not possible, at least as we have known it in the past. If, as Ali suggests (and this is highly unlikely) growth does start late on in 2009 then oil prices will start to rocket again. With the weak £ the effect on fuel prices will be even worse than early last year.- £2 or £3 plus for a litre of diesel would not be impossible. This will make inflation soar and they will then increase sharply interest rates which will have the effect of cancelling out any growth etc.etc.
What they need to do is say to us - this is where we are, we need to make do with less for now and concentrate on buildng a future based on, primarily nuclear energy, renewables etc. Hopefully once the energy issue is sorted then we can look to improve matters. Merely trying to start where we left off by doing more of what has been done since the Industrial Revolution is not an option for 2009.
