I'm thinking about ordering up some of these big banner stands so SBF can attend shows etc and create the right impression. Does anyone have any experience of what type of stands tend to be better etc?

Does anyone have a supplier they use at present who they would like to recommend? :)

A friend of mine had some banners printed that came with collapsible stands. They were really good. I'll try and track her down and get the details from her.

Cheers Tom,

Feel free to post up the design. It may help to give me some inspiration :)

Sure thing.

The banner was designed with a matching brochure to carry the theme across.

Both logos at the top of the banner are the new logos that were just designed for them.

Thanks for the useful links. Is there any type of materials etc that will provide longer life, any materials I should try and avoid? It seems as if they all give you the artwork spec which is a good thing :)

Hi

I've used quite a few suppliers over the years and in banner stands you do tend to get what you pay for. A company in Dalgety Bay called Chameleon (Chameleon Print Solutions) are reliable, fast and good value, their system has a protective cartridge which the graphic rolls up into when not in use and also has telescopic poles which just need a twist to be tightened. Banners come in 3 widths from 800 to 1,200.
Regards
Neale

You appear to be based in the US. Not sure if you will get any business from this side of the Atlantic. Good luck.

Talking of shows coming up, I received this email from New Start Scotland about their exhibition next year (27th - 28th March at SECC),if anyone is interested in applying (or is applicable to apply as a new business). We were lucky enougn to get one of the stands and at a good price, so hopefully should get a good turn out.

Part of email from New Start Scotland:

New Business Zone at New Start Scotland Exhibition 2009

On page 15 of this month’s magazine you will find more details of a new feature for next year’s show. To celebrate our 5th show in March 2009 we will be offering a small number of new business the opportunity to showcase their products and services along side the other exhibitors at next years event at a fraction of the normal cost.

We are looking for Companies who are younger than a year old and who can bring interesting, innovative or unusual products or services to the event. The businesses that are chosen to take part in the zone will qualify for a massive reduction in stand cost to enable them to showcase their company alongside Microsoft, Business Gateway, RBS and many others. Not only will these businesses benefit from exhibiting to the 8,000 show visitors, and networking with exhibitors at the main event and exhibitor party, but they will also enjoy the exposure that taking part in an award winning exhibition of this size brings.

To apply to be represented in the New Business Zone at New Start Scotland please email us and explain in less than 500 words why and how the visitors at the event would benefit from meeting your business. For further details of costs, rules and regulations call 0845 290 3190 or email us.
